There is provision of scholarships for poor as well as talented students. Our institution provide two types of scholarships:
Merit Scholarships: This is the financial aid for which financial need is not used to determine the recipient. The recipient may be determined by students' athletic, academic, artistic, teaching or other abilities. The actual monetary value of scholarship may be negligible, the scholarship being meant to motivate the student and promote the study of the subject.
Need : This is financial aid for which the student and family’s financial situation is a primary factor in determining the recipient. Usually such scholarship will cover all or part of the tuition.
The following scholarships are being provided by our institution :
Mata Jaswant Kaur Memorial Merit Awards: - Announced by our chairman S. Parkash Singh Badal on the First Annual Convocation, the merit award of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 25,000 each for students standing First, Second and Third in the B.Ed. Annual Exams of college.
The following Scholarship Schemes are provided by State and Central Government: -
Scholarship scheme to the schedule caste students: This scholarship is provided to the Schedule Caste and Schedule tribe students having annual income or parents or guardian must not exceed Rs. 2,00,000.
Scholarship scheme to the Other Backward Class students: - For this scholarship the student must belong to backward class and the annual income of parents/guardian must not exceed Rs. 1,00,000.
Scholarship for Minority Community: - This post matric scholarship is centrally sponsored scheme. In this scheme scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students from notified minority communities. The annual income of parents/guardians of such students should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000/-
